COMMUNITY RESOURCES

  • CalFresh: A Supplemental Nutrition Program

CalFresh is a California assistance program that helps people in need buy more food based upon specific eligibility criteria. Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) is like a special debit card for CalFresh. The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is the nationwide version of CalFresh. It provides food assistance to eligible individuals and families. Market Match is a program that adds extra money to EBT cards when used at farmers' markets, helping people get more fresh and healthy food. Together, these programs aim to make sure everyone has access to nutritious meals, especially those facing financial hardships.
